Born in Philadelphia in 1940, Frankie's singing talents were recognized early with his first song "De De Dinah" released in 1957.  In the spring of 1959 "Venus" became his signature song. His first starring role in movies came in 1963 with "Drums of Africa".  He also appeared in the 60's beach movies "Beach Party", Muscle Beach" and Beach Blanket Bingo" with his life long friend Annette Funicello. In 1987 he reunited with Annette for "Back to the Beach".  Frankie also made a cameo role in the musical "Grease" playing a Teen Angel singing "Beauty School Dropout". Frankie currently lives in the Los Angeles area and continues to make personal appearances in nightclubs and concerts. So whether your memories of Frankie date to "Venus" or his musical romps on the beach, or even his cameo role in Grease", you can recapture "simpler" times by attending this very special show.
